Movie Monday: Featuring "Up"

Spoiler Alert!!!!!! If you haven't seen this movie stop reading now......................... (unless you want to keep going)
I love this movie. I just watched it yesterday as I thought of Movie Monday. This movie is so sad that my Mom cried at the first part of the movie! Usually she would cry at the end but they had to make it sad at the beginning. My Mom also cried at the end. But not as much as the beginning. It is sort of like a time line but in video form. They meet...
They get married...
They work on the house...
She can't have babies...
They get older...
She dies...
My mom wasn't just having tears come out of her eyes. She was making the noise that a real cry would have! Like this, "Ugh, ugh, ugh...". Not loud though. I have never heard my mom cry like that. I felt like crying, too!
I don't know if you have seen the commercials about Up. But there is a dog named Dug. If you have seen the movie, then you probably remember this part,
"I do not like the cone of shame..." Dug says.
My dad started to laugh hysterically when he heard that line! Our whole family was laughing! Well, Bruce wasn't laughing, but he can't laugh. So that doesn't count.
Anyway, I highly recommend you watch this movie if you haven't seen it! You are really going to be in for a treat!

Mini Embem,
Jeff and I love your blog and think you are such a good writer! I want to see 'Up' so bad but Jeff doesn't really want to. I need to talk him into it:) Except I don't like to cry in movies and I bet I will. We are excited about Movie Mondays.

I haven't seen it either, perhaps we need to get all the "non-see'rs" together and watch it.

I really liked "Up", it was sad but, it had a nice ending. I think I cried (but I didn't make noises).

I saw up when we were at the beach house this summer. I think I would have cried too except I was with Margie and Megan and Tara and her friend Richelle. So that would have been embarrassing especially if I make noises :-) Not so much if I were with my own family though. I love this movie. I would want to see it again.

It is out on DVD now, so we were able to cry and make noises in total privacy :-)

I liked it too. I like the adventure scout who was so determined to get his "Assisting the Elderly" badge that he would ride in a house with someone who didn't want his help, all the way to South America.

Plus when they find out Kevin is a girl.

I liked the voice of the Alpha male dog! Kinda reminded me of the little alien men from the claw machine in Toy Story.

Great blog Emily!
