Learning Football
The other day, a boy at my school was holding a football. I have two friends and their names are Megan Anderson and Megan Sowby. Dawson usually throws the ball at them and they try to catch it. But they try to catch it at the same time so it doesn't really work. Plus, they hold up their knee and put their hand in front of it. As I watched, I thought I could catch it better. One time he tried to throw it to me but I dodged it because I didn't want to look like an idiot trying to catch it. What if I missed? Would he laugh? Of course he would. He's mean. So I came home and for a couple of days I hesitated to ask Derek to teach me how to catch and throw a football. But one day I didn't have to say anything. Derek all of a sudden picked up a football and said, "Go long!" So I did. Once I went far enough I turned around and Derek threw the ball. I missed of course. I haven't even learned a single thing about football. Except for the one time my girl scout leader's husband came to teach us about it. We even played a game of football. I didn't get any of it. I'd rather have private lessons.
Derek came over to me and he showed me how to hold it. Then tought me how to throw it. It was the first day so I didn't do that well. But today when I was doing it, I threw it like Derek has been throwing it! I was so excited! Since I could catch and throw it good, Derek started to teach me how they would play in a real football game. He showed me something that had to do with a quarterback and he also taught me how to throw a football like a ref. I never succeeded on the the ref throwing. But now that Derek has taught me all this stuff, I can probably catch the football at school. Maybe Derek can teach me enough that I actually play football at recess!

Sounds like you can throw a football now.
PS Adam and Zach's primary program was at the same time as yours. But anytime you have a program at church or at school be sure and tell me about it because I will come if I can.
What a clever girl you are to learn about football. I don't know much about it. I know a little about soccer:o)
I bet Dawson can't play the piano or write as well as you. You are terrific. PS. I still have your bracelet. I'll try and get it to you this week. I am still waiting for an okay from you to link your blog to mine!
Although I could play at recess, (If Derek taught me enough)I wouldn't want to because I would want to play with my friends Megan A., Megan S., and my other friend that I didn't mention, Brianna.
